GROUP COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT MANAGER

We are inviting applications for the position of Group Communications Assistant Manager.
LOCATION: Beauchamp (95 – Val d’Oise), a suburb of Paris, France. Travel within Europe or internationally may be required.
CONTRACT: Local French open-ended contract, management
SALARY: Commensurate with experience between 42 000€ to 50 000€ gross per annum

The post will focus on contributing to the planning and piloting of the group’s global communications strategy, in order to establish and strengthen internal and external synergies, whereby actively participating in its continuity.
Under the authority of the Group Communications Manager, your principal functions will be, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist the manager in communicating to and advising the directorate and supervisory committee on evolving the identity and the positioning of our brands internally and externally.
- Assist in defining the annual communications plan as well as the group’s print and visual media strategy.
- Contribute to the coordination of the roll-out of group communications campaigns, ensuring the consistency of its image in all media or at all events, researching methods and networks that will assure the visibility of the group within its local and international environments.
- In close collaboration with the manager and in coordination with internal teams, develop innovative communications tools to ensure the visibility of the brands in new communication channels.
- Actively monitor the media with regard to press releases relating to the group and work closely with external providers (e.g. press agencies) as required, assisting the manager in evaluating the return on investment of all communications interventions.
Tertiary studies in law, art history and literature with work experience in communications, you must have extensive work experience in a similar position within the services sector, which will include experience in international marketing and the implementation of new concepts and services in a multi-cultural context.
You must have the ability to clearly and succinctly present new and innovative ideas and concepts for group communications to the Directorate and Supervisory Committee, doing so from the clear strategic vision set by the manager.
You must have solid knowledge of the internal functioning of companies and the different aspects of communications (i.e. corporate, internal, external, etc.) and their requirements. This will be coupled with deep insight into and extensive knowledge of web (i.e. online publicity, collaborative tools, etc.), marketing and commercial tools that are innovative and will add value to the organisation’s communications strategy and market development.
The candidate must be able to work in collaboration with internal role players through his/her strong relational skills and enthusiasm and must further be able to represent the directorate and the group at industry events as and when required with natural charisma and professionalism. You will be naturally at ease with both written and oral communication.
Creative and entrepreneurial, meticulous, rigorous and well organised, you must be aware of the importance of confidentiality and diplomacy, knowing that you will work closely with a multitude of stakeholders with often conflicting interests.
Complete written and oral bilingualism in English and French is non-negotiable.
